Expectations of you as an instructor

Once we have enough people enrolled ( minimum 5), we will organise a time and day that falls outside of the “not available” nominations. You will receive a starting date and time, which you will then give a formal agreement to.

We ask students to follow the 4 commitments. We ask you to also follow these:

1. Complete confidentiality regarding any kind of material students in the course raise

Under no circumstances is it permissible to talk about those in the course, when you are outside the course, or what transpires during the learning process, or what is revealed on a personal, organisational, or business level. Other than to a professional supervisor you may engage, who will also be bound by professional confidentiality

2. 100% attendance

We ask this of students, and as the tutor you also need to be solidly available. The only exception is a real emergency - eg illness.

3. Class etiquette

We require students to be very punctual - classes will begin and end on time, and you as tutor must set an example. You must be in a private setting where you are not interrupted, and people are not around you. And you must turn off all notifications and other devices so you are not distracted.

4. Engagement

We ask students to be actively engaged with any materials you provide - any readings given, any homework. We require students to engage actively in their learning, and as instructor you need to respond and followup any requirements you have of them. We ask you to limit lecturing, and engage them with discussion, reflection, and challenging their limits.
